Thanks so much for being dog-friendly. We really enjoyed our meal Monday, will be back often (we live nearby)!

I’m only giving this place five stars because I can’t give it six. The service has been perfect and the food is consistently well done. Order anything off the menu and it will be as well done as your favorite cafe in Paris.

Mercat is as close to a French Brasserie as you can get, this side of the pond. The food was executed perfectly [special note: I love that they bring the chicken to your table prior to carving to make sure it is cooked to your liking] Dallas restaurants struggle with properly coursing your meal [delivering each course separately and letting you enjoy before setting another course in front of you] that ability is both art and science and Mercat courses with precision. If you are looking for a special place for date night or any night — Mercat is your answer — Mercat — we don’t know why it took you so long to get to Dallas but we are glad you are here

Service and food are always good. I love the daily soups and fresh quiche, but the thing I love most are the fresh pastries. If you get there at the right time in the morning, there are fresh chocolate croissants which are still warm and gooey in the center...

My girlfriend and I went to Mercat on Saturday night and had a wonderful experience. The restaurant has a “modern bistro” feel, it is located just a few steps away from Saint Ann’s but offers a much more warm and intimate environment. The service was very friendly and professional, and had a decidedly more relaxed / Euro pace that was refreshing. The food was excellent, we started the meal with foie gras and then enjoyed the steak frites with peppercorn sauce and scallops with risotto as main courses. Along the way, we were also treated to warm French bread and whipped blueberry butter that was even better than it sounds. All in all, a great experience — we look forward to trying Mercat for brunch soon.

We came here for coffee and a small bite and it did not disappoint. We had their pain au chocolat and spinach and wild mushroom quiche and both were exceptional. Pain au chocolat is airy and perfect! The quiche is probably the best I ever had!

Great place for a date. Quiet and romantic setting. Shared some different plates and had a couple bottles of wine. Desserts are amazing. Very unique place.

My wife and I happened across Mercat by accident and we are so happy we did. We recently came home for a vacation to Paris and were so happy to find a place that captures the look and feel of France. Everything we had was delicious, but the grilled salad and the short rib were stand outs. Go now.

Delightful!!! This quaint little hidden [gem] is definitely one not to be missed! The ambiance of the Parisian restaurant is eclectic, romantic, and quite charming. The proportions are perfectly served on a whimsical assortment of vintage china. Mercat boasts a lovely wine selection, deserts were right on point (I suggest the creme brûlée), and word on the street is that they serve a fabulous brunch. I will most definitely be back to visit Mercat Bistro and hopefully enjoy some warmer weather on the patio.

I’ve been here twice now and the food coupled with the atmosphere makes you feel like you’ve stepped out of Dallas for a few hours. Very quaint and perfectly nestled beside St. Anne’s, Mercat has gotten it right in all the right ways.
